Our Online Sport Management MBA program is designed to be completed start-to-finish in less than 1 year. The program is affordably priced with a tuition of $29,500, which includes all web-based course materials.

The curriculum is structured into a series of 30 credit hours, delivered over 6 sessions that span just under 12 months. Even though our 1 Year Online MBA program is designed for an accelerated schedule, it is also available in a part-time format. Part-time students typically complete the program within two years.

Students can enroll in the program Online from anywhere in the United States, however, Ashland University also makes a hybrid format available, through optional in-class enrollment at any of our 4 MBA Centers and Ashland University’s main campus.

Sport Management MBA Program Course Structure

The curriculum is structured into a series of 30 credit hours, at minimum. The core courses of all Ashland University MBA Programs are as follows:

The specialization in Sport Management is gained through the completion of the following courses:

  • SMG 572 – SPORT MANAGEMENT
    • This is a survey and field experience course that deals with the administration, leadership, philosophy, standards, policies, and procedures for implementing sport and recreation programs. It focuses on the development of an understanding of administrative analysis and its relationship to decision making. The field experience component of the course requires students to work in a setting appropriate to their area in sport with a cooperating supervisor appropriate for the program. The field experience allows students to engage in a major project which involves problem identification, analysis of related research, development of a process or procedure to address the problem, development of an evaluation process and preparation of a project product.
  • SMG 574 – SOCIAL & ETHICAL ISSUES IN SPORT
    • This course is a historical, philosophical, and sociological examination of ethical and social issues related to sport in its dimensions as play, competition, leisure, education, and work.
  • SMG 580 – SPORT MARKETING & PROMOTION
    • This course is an examination of the marketing and promotion of professional, intercollegiate, and recreational sport. The course will explore aspects of marketing and promotion that are unique to sport.

Accelerated 1 Year Sport Management MBA Program

Students can expect to complete the entire MBA program in just 1 year. Earning an MBA in 1 year allows you to quickly accomplish your career goals. Unlike other online MBA programs that can take 2 years or longer, our 1 Year Online MBA program is completed in just 12 short months.

Additionally, you can continue working full-time because our program does not require you to be available Monday-Friday during the normal business day.
